Ramblers’ legend passes away

It’s with great sadness that we learnt Len Kenyon, the Ramblers’ best wicketkeeper batsman in the history of the club, passed away.

Len had a stellar career at the Ramblers playing 267 games making an incredible 22 centuries on his way to 10,000 runs at an average of 33.8. He was A-grade player of the year every year but one from 1946 to 1964. He was also a great clubman being named Clubman of the year; life member and patron as well as being active around the club until very recently.

Len’s funeral will be held at the Blackwell Funerals Glenside Chapel (290 Greenhill Rd) at 2pm on Wednesday. Past and Present Ramblers players will be in attendance.

Len – you will be missed. The thoughts of the club are with Len’s family – a number of whom also payed with the Ramblers over the years.
